Christmas Eve: Adoration
“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.”
John 1:14 (NIV)
It’s Christmas Eve and our days and weeks have been filled with all the preparations of the festivities. Many of us have been busy getting our homes decorated with trees and beautiful lights, attending some much-anticipated family and church gatherings, and doing some gift shopping for those who we care about and love. All these things can make us forget what this season is really about.
But what do we really celebrate? We celebrate that the One who is full of grace and trust has come into the world so we could be forgiven and saved from our sins. Our celebration should always be an act of adoration and reverence for the beautiful gift given by God to all humanity.
Here at CEPAD we invite you to stop for a moment from all the preparations and celebrations to give thanks and praises to the One who saved us. May our adoration today be from a place of understanding, humbleness, and absolute love.
Thank you for praying with us this advent season, and we wish you a very blessed Christmas season.
