On March 2, 2023, we held our 50th Anniversary Closing Celebration. The principle activities included:

• A message from Pastor Marlón Lopez, President of the Board of Directors, on Philippians 4:4-13 about staying steadfast in the work CEPAD is doing, for Christ has empowered us to do so.
• A brief presentation on the 2022 Impact Report to share some of the many successes of last year’s work.
• A brief presentation on the Annual Plan for 2023 so that the Board of Directors could approve it.
• Our previous Executive Director, Dámaris Albuquerque, presented a book entitled Healing the World by Rev. Dan Buttry and Dámaris Albuquerque about the life and work of CEPAD founder Dr. Gustavo Parajón.
• Recognition and plaques for our international visitors who came to represent supporting organizations and churches who have been supporting CEPAD for decades.

The event ended with a lunch all together – current and past CEPAD staff along with representatives from across Nicaragua and from around the world came together to celebrate CEPAD’s 50th anniversary.

We are so thankful for all the support we have received over the years, and we hope to continue working together to serve those in rural Nicaragua.
